Katherine Jackson temporarily loses estate control.

Yesterday July 6th, Superior Court Judge, Mitchell Beckloff denied Katherine Jackson control of Michael's estate. Beckloff decided to give control to attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain. This is only until August 3rd as this will allow them negotiate and settle with concert promoter AEG Live that was handling MJ's now cancelled 50 dated comeback concert tour. Michael's mother had filed for sole administrator over his estate shortly after he passed but then Michael's will from 2002 was discovered which names Branca and McClain as administrators. Katherine Jackson then tried to fight it because Michael had at one time fired Branca but strangely reinstated him a few days before his death. Hmmm
Katherine Jackson's attorney states, “We have no reason to believe this is going to turn into a nasty fight over millions and millions of dollars,” McMillan told the Associated Press. “We will be working to ensure that Mr. Jackson’s legacy will be treated with dignity. Mr. Jackson’s life and legacy will be memorialized tomorrow, and we will move forward.” Let's hope this is the case because we all know when alot of money is involved people can get very ugly... and the type of assets Michael has is far more than most.

Of course you know today at 12noon the public Memorial Service for Michael Jackson will be held in the LA Staples Center. I can not imagine what it will be like there today. SMH. 1.5 million people registered online and of them 8,750 names where chosen and recieved a pair of tickets to attend. Wow. I am kind of upset I will not be able to even watch Michael's memorial. But hopefully I will catch some of it online. Those scheduled to participate today are Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Smokey Robinson, John Mayer, Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant. Ok am I the only one thinking why Kobe Bryant? Maybe I missed something. I would have thought Michael Jordan??
