Lawyer Calls For Hip Hop "Morality" Clause In Contracts

If you can recall Lauren Rayson is the lawyer responsible for prosecutinr Remi Ma. Rayson has called a press conference today (aug 24th) in New York telling Record Labels to basical take some account and monitor the violence in the Hip Hop culture. Raysor plan to use the press conference to request that all labels create a morality clause in their contracts, this means an artist’s deal would be terminated for any acts seen as objectionable to society. Wow... I don't know if labels will go for this. "Objectionable to society" is a wide range range of things... this will get touchy. Hmmm... what do you think? I feeling like it's a good idea. I just don't see record labels going for it. According to a representative for Raysor, the “morality clause” concept would not be a device to target Hip-Hop artists, but a contract item to ensure all musicians consider the career ramifications for any violent acts. Good it does need to be across the board.
